Accelerating the Energy Transition with Modularity and Digitization

                      18 février 2025

                      Article sponsored by Rittal/Eplan

Rittal and Eplan renew their presence at K.EY, the leading fair for technologies, solutions, and services related to the energy transition, with an even larger exhibition space and numerous targeted proposals to support the ongoing transition.

At Pavilion C5, Stand 421, visitors can explore an ecosystem designed to meet the needs of the energy sector with a cutting-edge, efficient, and digitalization-oriented approach.

Towards More Sustainable and Efficient Energy

The energy transition presents increasingly complex challenges that must be tackled within tight timelines. Management systems must evolve to combine reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. The industrialization of the entire process chain is crucial to achieving this goal.

Rittal and Eplan, backed by their industrial sector expertise, present a structured offering at K.EY 2025 that integrates digitalization, energy efficiency, and automation. Based on scalable and sustainable solutions, this offering not only simplifies energy management but also promotes operational cost reduction and resource optimization.

Modular and Integrated Solutions for Energy Management

The fair visit will offer the opportunity to explore a representative selection of the wide portfolio of solutions that Rittal and Eplan dedicate to the world of energy and sustainable mobility. This includes containment systems, climate control, energy distribution, and advanced tools for design and digitalization.

Examples of featured solutions include the TopTec Charging Station and TopTec Photovoltaic, two advanced infrastructure solutions for managing electric vehicle charging stations designed for outdoor use, able to withstand extreme conditions; the new modular Ri4Power system for energy distribution in electrical panels, which optimizes space and reduces copper usage; the VX25 enclosures with Blue e+ cooling technology, which offers high-efficiency cooling that reduces energy consumption by up to 75% compared to traditional solutions; and a VX25 cabinet fitted with the innovative RiLineX busbar system, designed to facilitate system assembly and improve operational safety.

Standard Projects: The Foundation for Building Energy Market Solutions

For years, Rittal and Eplan have been increasingly present in the energy market with an extensive portfolio of products and solutions. Specifically, Eplan Industry Standard Project and Rittal Application Samples offer perfect integration of the two companies' solutions, from design to the finished product.

Eplan has developed several standard projects for the energy vertical markets: photovoltaics, electric vehicle charging, and energy distribution and transmission.

The projects are available on the Eplan website in the Industry Standard Project section and on the Rittal website in the same section, including everything necessary for their implementation: project definition, engineering, mounting plate wiring (Eplan Electric P8), integration of manufacturer data (Data Portal), 3D design (Eplan Pro Panel), materials list, the “ready2go” digital twin (Eplan View), and project documentation.

At the stand, Eplan specialists will present the various standard projects, represented not only in their digital version but also as physical versions of the electrical panels, and will be available to provide more information on the intermediate steps in the panel's creation, from configuration with Rittal RiPanel to automated workstations, along with the intelligent software for electrical panel wiring.
