“Behind the meter” to develop micro-energy production networks

The so-called “behind the meter” technology is set to become the new trend in Canada over the next few years, a technology that focuses on producing energy on site for a single building, by using renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic and solar. The “behind the meter” technology allows for controlling costs, making the building’s electrical system more reliable, as well as more resilient.
