Bethel Hospital Berlin, energy efficiency in German hospitals
Industry and tertiary sector
The Bethel Hospital in Berlin has a 50 Kw cogenerator to self-generate electricity and heat through a small internal district heating network. Using cogeneration technology reduces the impact on the environment, thanks to the reduction of CO2, and is part of the energy saving policies adopted by the hospital, which has been acknowledged as one of the most advanced facilities from this point of view.
