Biomethane Financing in Poland: Opportunities on the Horizon
New financing opportunities for biomethane plants are emerging in Poland, thanks to the Modernisation Fund and the National Environmental Protection Fund. In addition, a specific programme expected by the end of the year will offer up to 45% in non-repayable grants and preferential loans of up to 70%. The projects favoured will be large-scale initiatives that process selectively collected waste or recover CO₂ during biogas upgrading. Around 50 applications were already submitted in December, showing strong market interest. We explore this further in our interview with Metropolis Doradztwo Gospodarcze, a Polish consultancy specialised in helping companies obtain external funding, especially EU grants, preferential loans, and technology credits.
