Biomethane in Poland: agricultural and small-scale plants
Applications and technologies
In this interview, Krzysztof Jurkiewicz, Market Manager at Biogas System, explains that the future of biomethane in Poland is promising thanks to the country's strong agricultural potential: 14 million hectares of arable land and an abundance of by-products such as manure and distillery waste. According to Krzysztof, the market will be dominated by small-scale plants, between 0.5 and 1 MW, as is already the case in the biogas sector. However, the hope is that both small- and large-scale solutions will develop in parallel to fully harness the available resources.
