Biomethane/RNG Register operational in Austria since 2012
Market and policy
The Biomethane Register has been operational in Austria since 2012, which certifies the renewable gas injected into Austria’s gas grid. Thanks to the Register, both producers and users can benefit from certain and reliable guarantees. An initiative that other countries, such as Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, France and the Netherlands, are also adopting, in order to promote cross-border biomethane/RNG trade.
