For 2017 the German cogeneration association, B.KWK, has set itself the objective of increasing its membership and boosting awareness of cogeneration. Two tools that will help the association in achieving this goal are the "Blauer Strom" and "Blaue Wärme" brands, which it has created to certify cogeneration installations that are efficiently producing – respectively - electricity and heat.
