Certificates of release for consumption of biomethane produced: assignment and value pursuant to the Decree
Market and policy
The new biomethane/RNG decree provides for the withdrawal of CICs by GSE, which are certificates of release for the consumption of biomethane produced. The calculation of the assigned CICs and their value depends on the biomass used; for advanced biomethane, they are withdrawn at € 375 per CIC for 10 years. How does the assignment of certificates for biomethane producers work in detail? All of the answers with Marco Pezzaglia from the Italian Biogas Consortium.
