Like many others, these buildings also offer an ideal scenario where cogeneration can be a solution to reduce energy bills, produce energy more efficiently, generate less pollution, as well as prevent network black-outs. At the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah, the installation of a cogeneration plant has even helped create a sort of resilient microgrid to serve the 4 hotels that are part of the complex and ensure the constant supply of energy, given the location of the resort.
