CHP in critical infrastructure: multi-family housing
Industry and tertiary sector
The fifth video on critical infrastructures features the residential sector. In the USA, residential complexes where cogeneration plants were installed made a green choice, having made the conscious decision to reduce emissions into the atmosphere and produce heat and electricity for an entire building in a more efficient and resilient way. A perfect example is the Brevoort building in NY, which was not affected by a blackout during Hurricane Sandy and residents were therefore able to host family members who found themselves in difficulty.
