COGEN Europe: the EED must focus on the end-to-end energy supply chain, for a comprehensive vision on energy policy (part 2)
Market and policy
As Kamila Waciega illustrates, COGEN Europe is working to ensure that in Articles 1 and 3 of the EED (Energy Efficiency Directive), Member States are given the possibility to calculate energy savings both on the basis of primary and final energy. Moreover, the Association is committed to the “energy efficiency first” principle and is fighting to obtain a PEF (Primary Energy Factor) value of 2.3. Finally, obviously COGEN Europe supports the promotion of cogeneration in most articles.
