According to Natalie Hanson, Director of Energy Programs at the U.S. DOE Western Onsite Energy TAP, there are no specific incentives for combined heat and power (CHP) in the western United States. However, some general utility programs, designed to improve energy efficiency, also include CHP systems, promoting a more efficient use of gas.
