As Pat Wood explains, although the low cost of energy in the United States does not allow the cogeneration market to boom, this solution can only be optimal for energy-intensive companies in industries such as the petrochemical and plastics industries. With 13 GW of plants currently installed and a strong awareness-raising campaign on the potential of cogeneration, the United States can become a more efficient and cleaner Country from an energy viewpoint.
