Data centre resilience and reliability thanks to CHP in microgrids
Industry and tertiary sector
Data centres require huge amounts of energy and must be constantly cooled to maintain a suitable operating temperature. Cogeneration meets this need and integrates perfectly into a microgrid, as it makes data centres more resilient and reliable with a constant supply of energy. Miller defines cogeneration as ideal for the future of data centres, as they will use liquid cooling technology that matches perfectly with cogeneration, to which an absorber can be integrated to create chilled water.
