EEG, EnEV and EWärmeG for energy efficiency in Germany
Market and policy
The three laws aim to make the German energy system efficient under various aspects. EnEV and EWärmeG regulate the heating and cooling dynamics in buildings, whilst EEG concerns systems which produce energy from renewable sources. What emerges from KWKG is that the cogeneration plants can take over the supply of energy if there is a shortage of renewable sources, thereby creating a balance between renewable and non-renewable sources.
