EMT Madrid, towards a 100% green fleet with biomethane
Sustainable mobility
The vehicles owned by EMT Madrid, the utility that manages public transport in the Spanish capital, are electric or powered by CNG. However, the company is planning to purchase the biomethane produced at the Valdemingómez waste treatment plant to cover at least 20% of its gas needs. For EMT Madrid, investing in biomethane means having a 100% green fleet, thus reducing the use of fossil fuels.
