Market and policy
In the light of the new objectives for 2030-2050, the European Commission has been working on a number of fronts. Firstly by developing a strategy for the heating and cooling sectors, which account for 50% of European energy consumption; and secondly by revising the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the Energy Efficiency Directive. Canevari focuses in particular on the aspects that had to be addressed in revising the latter.
