Europe focused on energy efficiency with an EEFIG Report and "Heating & Cooling" Strategy
District heating and cooling
In Europe, 50% of energy is used for heating and cooling. From this, the necessity arises to outline a Heating & Cooling Strategy, with the aim of reducing the demand for energy. As declared by Pontoglio, the strategy will be implemented in early 2016 and will focus on the housing and industrial sectors. At the same time, the EEFIG report has set the objective of creating energy efficiency investment tools that will be able to reduce operator risks.
