Federal and local actions to promote resilient energy in Southeastern USA
Market and policy
In Southeastern USA, the Ministry of Defense is planning to adopt resilient energy production systems, including cogeneration plants. Local bodies are also gearing up to cope with climate change and therefore to hurricanes and other natural disasters, which can potentially leave cities without energy. This requires systems that guarantee the continuous supply of energy to critical facilities such as hospitals, first aid centers and water treatment plants.
