IEA Word Energy Outlook 2020: the energy system and COVID-19
Market and policy
On October 13, 2020 the International Energy Agency published the Word Energy Outlook 2020, a detailed report offering a global view of how the energy system is evolving and what it will look like in the next decade. This exceptional year, however, required a different approach in the analysis and, for this reason, four potential future scenarios have been designed to take into account the uncertainty of the period. The analysis included a look at cogeneration, which has a great potential for system decarbonization. Timothy Goodson briefly summarizes the highlights of the report.
