In Ontario, the "cap & trade program" regulates CO₂ emissions

The CHP market in Canada is greatly influenced by current national policies but this does not affect the choice of cogeneration technology by Canadian companies, who appreciate the benefits. Many companies can also participate in the "cap and trade program" created by the Canadian government in order to combat climate change and allow businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
