Microgrids: cogeneration improves development and reduces emissions
Emissions treatment
The EPA CHP Partnership has been monitoring a community microgrid, with an integrated cogeneration plant in the city of Milford (Connecticut) using an emissions calculator. The results have been surprising: a 33% drop in greenhouse gas emissions, which is the equivalent to emissions from 164 vehicles – thanks to the use of cogeneration.
