Permits for installing a CHP facility in Flanders
Market and policy
Obtaining the required permits to install a cogeneration plant in Belgium, especially in the Flanders region, can be complex. However, relying on experts and being familiar with the necessary requirements, the project can be completed without problems. Since 2017, for example, environmental and construction permits have been merged into a single permit and therefore must be taken into account from the beginning of the project. For more complex or innovative projects, a consultation with the Government may also be necessary. The video describes a number of different case studies.
