Poland’s bet on biomethane for heating
Applications and technologies
The heating sector in Poland is seeking alternatives to coal in its decarbonisation efforts, and biomethane is emerging as a natural and sustainable solution. With a high production potential, biomethane could gradually replace natural gas, also thanks to an evolving regulatory framework. As explained by Sławomir Szafrański, Chief Operations Officer at Galia Green Power, the company aims to become a market leader in Poland by investing in the expansion of existing plants and greenfield projects. The goal? To accelerate the energy transition of Poland’s heating sector.
