Potato waste into biomethane: EBA tour at Green Logix
Case history
Together with the European Biogas Association (EBA) and as part of the Grid Ready Forum, we took part in a guided tour of the Green Logix plant, located in Lommel, Belgium.
The plant processes 100,000 tonnes per year of potato peels and starch from a nearby factory to produce electricity, biomethane, steam, digestate, and biogenic CO₂. It is the first facility in Flanders to inject biomethane into the high-pressure gas grid (TSO) and operates entirely without public subsidies.
