Rates subsidy for white certificates. How is it determined?
Market and policy
In Italy, distributors that comply with energy saving obligations under the white certificate scheme qualify for a subsidy, which is quantified by the Authority for Electrical Energy and Gas (AEEGSI). The rates subsidy takes into account the trading prices of the energy efficiency certificates on the market and since 2013, with Ruling no. 13, stock market movements are also being monitored in order to ensure the subsidy’s stability.
