Roadmap to 2050 for Italian renewable gas
Market and policy
The Consorzio Italiano Biogas (Italian Biogas Consortium) has developed a Roadmap for Italian renewable gas with the goal of achieving a production of at least 10 billion m3 of biomethane by 2050 - around 10% of current Italian gas consumption. Its strategy for hitting this target involves cooperation with agricultural businesses and strong local integration. But what elements were considered during its development? The CIB answers our question.
