The city of Śrem, Poland, invests on bioLNG
Sustainable mobility
Since 2015, the Municipal Utilities Company of Śrem, a town in western Poland, has been operating an LNG and CNG refueling station and is now building a new station for bioLNG and bioCNG, scheduled to open between October and November. The goal is to provide transport operators with a green, decarbonized fuel, supported by state incentive policies such as toll exemptions. At first, it will be necessary to import bioLNG from Western Europe, but the ambition is to market bioLNG produced in Poland. The launch of the first national liquefied biomethane plant will be key to achieving this milestone.
