The potential for biomethane/RNG production in Brazil is 80 million cubic metres per day
Market and policy
According to ABiogás, the Brazilian Association of biogas and biomethane/RNG, the potential for biomethane production in the country is approximately 80 million cubic metres per day. An enormous potential, which Brazil looks to achieve by setting the target to produce 32 million cubic meters of biogas per day by 2030. To fully launch the industry, all that remains to do is to obtain a better defined and more committed state level support.
