The strategic role of biomethane/RNG for the decarbonization of transport and energy independence
Sustainable mobility
Biomethane/RNG is currently the least polluting fuel that can allow the decarbonization of the transport sector. In the US, 65% of vehicles are already powered by biomethane/RNG and only California comes close to 100%. However, there is still room for improvement, especially in the industrial and residential sectors. The current geopolitical situation has shown even more the important role of biomethane/RNG in guaranteeing independence and energy resilience.
