Three keywords for the Azienda Agricola Toninelli: innovation, diversification and biomethane
Azienda Agricola Toninelli, located in Leno (Brescia province), is a shining example of integrated and innovative farming. With around 10,000 pigs and 300 hectares cultivated with maize and Arundo donax, the farm optimizes every production phase through diversified irrigation systems and GPS-guided tractors, ensuring greater efficiency and sustainability. The true technological core of the company is its 1 MW biogas plant, now being converted to biomethane production. The new plant will be operational from spring 2026, with an expected output of 250 Sm³/h of biomethane injected into the gas grid. This circular model is completed by the reuse of digestate as fertilizer and renewable energy generated from both photovoltaic and agrivoltaic systems. It’s the agriculture of the future—one that maximizes the value of resources and land.
