Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, a company that manages the city’s public transport service, has been producing electricity and thermal energy for 11 years thanks to a trigeneration plant. As Josep Ariño comments, the plant is reliable and will be increasingly more sustainable thanks to the purchase of guarantees of origin that will certify the use of renewable sources.
