Market and policy
Despite the complex and dramatic geopolitical situation, in 2022 new cogeneration and biomethane plants for self-production of energy were launched in Ukraine. In early 2023, President Zelensky also approved the "State Fund for Decarbonisation and Energy Efficiency Transformation" promoted by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) and aimed at creating a fund to finance energy efficiency projects throughout the country that will be active starting January 2024.
