Visit to the Pouchiou Energie biomethane/RNG plant, in the south-west of France
Case history
More than 130 people attended the visit to the Pouchiou Energie biomethane plant in Astaffort, in southwestern France. The plant, in operation since December 2021, produces 100 Nm3/h of renewable gas, equal to the consumption of 1,200 inhabitants. Biomethane is obtained by purifying the biogas that derives from the fermentation of 14,000 tons per year of organic materials from agricultural activity (sewage, cereal waste, energy crops, etc.).
A day that aroused great interest and that brought together many people from the local community to celebrate the success of this project.
