4.4 MW cogeneration plant and DUPLEX boiler boost production efficiency at Cereal Docks
Case history
Cereal Docks, an Italian company operating in the grain and oilseed processing sector, has decided to install a 4.4 MW high-efficiency cogeneration system at its plant in Marghera (VE). As well as qualifying for the white certificates mechanism, the system enables the plant to cover around 15-20% of its energy needs and to save around 4,000 tons of CO2. The electrical energy supplied is used to power the plant's machinery and general services, while the thermal energy is used in the production process - from seed preparation to roasting. Finally, fumes are recovered by the SIAT DUPLEX boiler connected to the plant.
