Shell Drives Energy Efficiency: The Novara Case
In Novara, the CO-VER Power Technology plant demonstrates how natural gas trigeneration can combine efficiency and sustainability.
The facility supplies electricity, steam, and chilled water to a company in the microelectronics sector, using three engines with heat recovery to maximize performance. Since 2024, the engines have been lubricated with Shell Mysella S7 N Ultra, a high-performance oil that improves piston cleanliness, deposit control, and compatibility with emission-reduction systems. Thanks to Shell, maintenance intervals have been extended, oil consumption reduced, and combustion cleaner, cutting the plant’s operating costs. With over 750 engines lubricated and more than 8,000 analyses conducted annually, Shell strengthens its leadership in cogeneration, providing technology, sustainability, and support to strategic industry partners.
