ADV: Shell aims for zero emissions by 2050 with new Carbon Neutral lubricants
Technologies and components
Sustainability is a theme dear to Shell, which has recently developed its “powering progress” strategy with which it aims to become an Energy Business Company with zero net emissions by 2050. An ambitious goal that Shell promises to achieve through the adoption of multiple actions, including the increased use of renewable energy in production processes and eliminating waste. To achieve this goal, Shell has also launched a new range of Carbon Neutral lubricants, with zero CO2 equivalent impact. These products, including Shell Mysella for the cogeneration sector, respond to customers’ needs to extend the life of their machinery, while reducing their net carbon footprint. Thanks to this approach, Shell customers participate in nature-based projects aimed at improving biodiversity and the conditions of local communities. Globally, Shell Lubricants aims to offset over 700,000 tons of CO2 per year.
