AIMAG and the new organic waste fraction biomethane/RNG plant
Applications and technologies
AIMAG, an Italian multi-service company, has worked for many years in applying technologies to produce energy from the recover of waste. In the composting site of Massa Finalese, Modena, a new upgrading line will be in operation from 2019 for the refining of biogas produced by a new semi-dry anaerobic digestion section of forsu, or organic and lignocellulose waste. The intervention will bring the site’s waste treatment capacity to 50,000 tons per year, for a total of 5.5 million m3 per year of biogas and approximately 3 million m3 per year of biomethane/RNG that will be introduced into the network.
