Biogas and Biomethane from Organic Waste: Six Projects Serving Local Communities
Applications and technologies
RE2Sources operates six plants that process organic waste to produce energy, fuel, fertiliser, and blended compost. These facilities, located across Italy, handle 220,000 tonnes of organic waste annually to generate 25 million cubic metres of biogas, representing a significant share of the national production. This well-established management system serves the local community, which is actively engaged through open days, school visits, and interactions with citizens and community groups. Let’s learn more from the Group’s CEO.
