Biomethane and digested from livestock effluents: the example of circular economy of the Ariano Biomethane plant
Case history
Transforming livestock manure into fertiliser and energy is a concrete and virtuous goal, which is the basis of the "Ariano Biomethane" project. The plant in Ariano (Veneto) collects manure, bovine sewage, chicken manure and some residual plant biomass from agricultural production, to transform them not only into 10 tons per day of liquid biomethane - used as fuel for trucks, buses and ferries - but also into digestate, an excellent fertiliser! The "Ariano Biomethane" plant, an initiative of the FemoGas Group, is considered a virtuous model of circular economy and therefore sustainable. Let's find out more in the video!
