Biomethane Day Greece 2026: the future of biomethane also runs through Greece
Biomethane is ready to grow in Greece, but how can the sector get the boost it needs to take off? This was the central theme of the Biomethane Day Greece, a one-day conference entirely dedicated to the biomethane market, organized by Biomethane RGN Channel and held in Athens on January 28. The event brought together more than 150 participants and a high-level panel of speakers, including representatives from leading industry associations, CRES, gas grid operators, as well as investors and technology providers. It was an important opportunity to discuss the strong potential of the biomethane sector in Greece and the key steps needed to accelerate its development: first and foremost, a clear regulatory framework and well-defined support mechanisms for producers. Relive the highlights of the day in this video together with the event moderator, Myrsini Christou, Head of Biomass Department, CRES.
