Biomethane/RNG can play a decisive role in electricity generation because it is a programmable, renewable form of energy that is not subject to systemic costs. The use of biomethane is also economically sustainable through the use of catch crops and the by-products of agriculture used in its production, provided that sustainability criteria are complied with.
