Cogeneration 2.0: efficiency, flexibility, and awareness
Associations
In the coming years, cogeneration will need to transform, becoming more flexible and better able to integrate with renewable energies—not replacing them, but strengthening them. Italcogen is leading this change, aiming to highlight the technology’s historical benefits while updating it with new standards for the present and future. The biggest challenge? Raising awareness among the general public about a solution that is still little known, yet already underpins many production processes thanks to its efficiency and emission reductions. The Association is working on training, innovative models, and regulatory frameworks to show that cogeneration can continue to be the backbone of tomorrow’s energy system.
