Cogeneration: AssoEsco’s strategic role in the energy transition
AssoEsco, the Italian association of Energy Service Companies and energy efficiency operators, acts as a bridge between companies, professionals and institutions along the path of the energy transition. Through dialogue with stakeholders, the association promotes cogeneration as a neutral and strategic technology, capable of contributing to European targets and to the development of Italy’s industrial sector. In an evolving regulatory framework, it highlights the urgency of clear rules that recognise the role of high-efficiency cogeneration. Giving priority to biomethane and waste heat becomes a key lever to make the system more efficient. We take a closer look at the team with Simona Ferrari, Board Member and Head of the Technical Committee on Energy Efficiency Incentives at AssoEsco.
