Cogeneration technology to offer waste-to-energy treatment of urban solid waste
Associations
Incineration of urban waste is a widely used technique in Europe; the CEWEP – Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plant brings together the protagonists of this industry. As the general manager highlights, in the view of a circular economy it is necessary for waste recycling to be encouraged and incentivised and where this is not possible for this waste to be used to produce energy through waste-to-energy plants. One of the technologies used to transform waste into energy and heat is cogeneration itself.
