Conecta Biometano: the new Brazilian app for the future of biomethane
Market and policy
The Secretary for Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics of São Paulo has presented the Conecta Biometano app, part of the city’s strategy for energy transition and decarbonisation. The goal is to connect producers, consumers, consultants, and institutions to overcome regulatory and infrastructural barriers. The app is free and already has over 100 registrations, fostering networking and the development of the value chain. Key actions for the biogas and biomethane sector include certification, public contributions, and support policies to reach the estimated potential of 6.4 million m³/day of biomethane.
