District heating: no need for tariff regulation
District heating and cooling
Professor Gulli comments on the results of an antitrust survey on district heating. No tariff regulation is needed in this sector as competition levels between heating systems are already able to protect the consumer. Furthermore, the opening up of the grids represents a wasteful burden on the companies. It is also worth considering the Danish district heating model and the current situation of cogeneration.
