Economic and environmental value of the PACE project: HSLU University’s analysis
Market and policy
HSLU University participated in the PACE project analysing microcogenerators from an economic and ecological point of view. As Prof. Christoph Imboden explains, three key points emerged from the survey: microcogeneration systems are flexible and adapt to the needs of the electricity market; microcogenerators are used for self-consumption and therefore allow a reduction in the costs of the bill; the combination of micro cogeneration and heat pumps halves CO2 emissions and operating costs.
