EffiSludge for LIFE - an innovative project to produce biogas from the pulp and paper industry effluents

EffiSludge for LIFE is a demonstration project promoted by the European Commission aimed at integrating biogas production into the paper and pulp industry, a very energy-intensive sector. In the Norwegian plant involved it is possible to treat the waste water from production to yield biogas and biomethane, simultaneously halving its electricity consumption.
