European Biomethane Week 2025: Biomethane at the heart of Europe’s energy transition
In Brussels, over 1,000 experts and industry representatives gathered for the European Biomethane Week 2025, Europe’s flagship event dedicated to biogas and biomethane. Under the theme “Biogases: Leading globally, acting locally”, the week featured the EBA Conference, the main European event organised by the European Biogas Association to highlight the strategic role of renewable gases. From the European Commission to NATO, speakers stressed the importance of producing local, green energy to strengthen energy independence. Biomethane is confirmed as the most competitive renewable gas, supporting both industry and agriculture. The event concluded with a shared call for clear rules, cooperation, and investment to unlock the full potential of the sector in Europe.
